There’s No Excuse for Boring Undies.

The right underwear can make you feel like you can conquer the world. Life just seems that little bit better when you’re wearing a pair of pretty panties, but lets face it. Underwear can be excruciatingly expensive, especially on a student’s budget. That’s why I was thrilled to see a huge range of pretty undies in my local Primark: they have seriously upped their game in that department! Bralets, bras, pants, stockings; you name it they have it.

I bought one soft cup bralet set because I saw it was on sale for only €5 and I adored the on-trend khaki colour (above), at only €7 at full price, it’s a bargain regardless of the discount. I popped in the next day just for a browse between classes and noticed the stand had been filled with other designs and colourways, all of which were only €3, so naturally I couldn’t resist and bought the other 3 (pink, white & red).

Exceptional quality isn’t something Primark is renowned for and I’m often dubious of the lifespan of their garments; but to my surprise, these sets are actually pretty sound in terms of quality and durability. I’m not someone who is clued up with all the laundry dos and don’ts so normally my laziness takes over and I just chuck everything in the machine and hope for the best. But these garments seem to be undeterred by my careless washing habits and haven’t shrunk or lost any colour or elasticity. Also, unlike a lot of bralets, especially the cheaper ones, these bralets have a decent amount of support and do not ride up or fall down. The level of detail on these are up there with some of the pricier high street versions, like this one from Topshop (which is 3 times the price by the way). I love the detail on the white one in particular, which has got a super cut sporty racerback and caged sides (see below).

So for any other fellow underwear addicts, get yourself down to Primark ASAP and bag yourself some cute new intimates without breaking the bank, because there is no excuse for wearing boring underwear, honest.

I’ve also reviewed a Primark beauty buy here, and some cute home buys here.
